I'm a lifelong resident of Washington State and was heavily influenced by my childhood county, and my family. I have yet to find another location in this world that competes with the vast open mountains and forest canopies of Washington state, and the cultural niche that I experienced as a local growing up. Though most of what I knew as a child has passed, I still aim to share the love of these things with the rest of the world even if it only fades from this world and becomes the remnant of a memory.
Throughout my life I have loved reading, writing, drawing, and painting. Eventually, after over a decade of being self-taught, I went to a local college to study art and acquired my Associate of Fine Arts. Now I work on both art and writing keeping the principles I've learned in mind.
My art is essentially figurative. In the center of it all, however, lies a strong organic tie. I work with line, shapes, form and textures to create a modern artifact that invokes the viewers’ emotion and imagination. With each new piece, I set goals and overcome challenges to ensure that I am constantly learning. Through this, I’ve discovered that my work is becoming more polished and refined.
